Stories Behind The Scarves

The Hermès Couvée d'Hermès scarf, designed by Caty Latham in 1994, is a playful and whimsical design that features horses laying eggs, inspired by the house's equestrian heritage and the iconic crocodile design. It's a self-referential design, referencing other Hermès scarves and incorporating details from the brand's history.

The Hermes Qu'importe le flacon scarf, designed by Catherine Baschet, is a playful and iconic piece featuring a variety of vintage perfume bottles. The scarf's name, meaning "No matter the bottle" in French, is a clever twist on a line from a 19th-century poem, substituting perfume bottles for liquor bottles to suggest that the scent itself is intoxicating. First released in 1988, the scarf has been reissued several times, including a notable release in 2001-2002, coinciding with the debut of the movie "Le Divorce", which prominently featured the scarf
