Madison�s new Smart Shield is an innovative steel nail guard that protects electric wire and cable wire in wood framing. The unique cylindrical shape of this cable protector houses wire and electrical cable for better protection from both sides of the stud, eliminating the need for multiple standard nail plates. Smart Shield cable guard is faster and easier to install and eliminates drywall budge caused by using surface-mounted nail plates. Manufactured with heat-treated steel for strength, the Smart Shield cable cover is also zinc-plated to reduce electrolysis. SmartShield wire cover is resistant to direct strikes from nail guns and screws and prevents damage to electrical power cables, potentially shorting the conductors and starting a fire.
