Very Rare Royal Doulton & Co. A Yeoman of the Guard HN2122 Figurine Retired 1953
Designed by Leslie Harradine. The Yeomen of the Guard and warders of the Tower of London are colloquially referred to as Beefeaters. The name 'Beefeater' came from a visiting Grand Duke who was astonished by the large amounts of beef eaten by the Yeomen Guards.
A rare 1950s figurine titled A Yeoman of the Guard by Royal Doulton, model number HN 2122. This figurine was designed by Leslie Harradine in 1953 and depicts an elderly man of the 16th century British royal bodyguard. It is marked with the Royal Doulton hallmark.
Measuring 4.0" W x 6.25" H x 4.0" D this beauty is in excellent condition! Please review all photographs as an important part of the description.
