I've always had a penchant for beautifully executed still lifes, and I love the exotic coloring of this little gem by mid-century New York artist, Ray Acampora. Signed lower left with initials and inscribed and dated 1959 on the back. Acampora is listed in Falk's Who Was Who in American Art. I've shown a partial listing of the artists in an important 1966 art exhibition to illustrate the high level of esteem that was given his work. Just look at the prestigious company he is in! And there is a wonderful example of his work in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Oil on board, 13 1/2" x 4". Outside frame dimensions are 17 1/4" x 7 3/4".
