Also known as marialite, scapolite is an aluminum silicate mineral, rarely crystalizes into collectible specimens, this crystal is beautifully formed. The scapolite is an incredibly uncommon extra large size in a muted mauve hue with translucent areas that sparkle in the light. The crystal is double terminated and both ends are crystalized. It’s also UV fluorescent and glows vivid orange under UV lighting. The crystals produces a warm golden green glow when backlit. The collector’s grade specimen makes a perfect large cabinet sized display piece, measuring approx 4.25 x 2.25 x 2 inches and weighing nearly a pound at 11.6 ounces.
