Fire opal pendant on real gold chain…not gold plated. Opal , a beautiful stone, is known for its "play-of-color," a kaleidoscope of shifting rainbow hues, and symbolizes hope, creativity and spiritual connection.
The chain is approximately 18” long and the pendant is 1” long with 6 lab created fire opals and 1 diamond chip at the top. The real gold chain has a spring loaded clasp on one end and the other end has the catcher, both are marked 10K xl (which references the chain length). The pendant is stamped with a maker mark of STS and is also 10k.
This stamp is a quality mark that signifies the jewelry's gold content. It means the piece is 10 parts gold and 14 parts other metal alloys, making it 41.7% pure gold.
My iPad does not do a very good job taking pictures. All that being said it is a very pretty necklace. A beautiful gift for anyone, but even better for someone with an October birthday. Thank you for looking!
