This is a wonderful set for the Schleich collector or anyone looking for a nativity set that will last for years and years without the worry of breakage. Schleich figures and animals are hand painted, made of a durable vinyl plastic (hard rubber type material) and highly collectible. The 8 figures included in the set are Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus, two shepherds and three wise men. The baby in the manger is 2" long, Mary 2 1/2" high, Joseph, two wise men standing and older shepherd man are 4" high, kneeling wise man and shepherd boy are 3" high. The box top opens up similar to a book revealing the 8 figures inside the factory sealed box. This nativity set was retired as of 2008.
