This cookbook was sponsored by the Municipal Clerks of New Mexico with contributions from various New Mexico cooks. These recipes look absolutely delicious and demonstrates that New Mexico cuisine is so much more than chile and beans.
This book includes various recipes from an older cookbook called "Woman's Club Cook Book" from 1906. Those recipes were printed in this cookbook exactly as they first appeared for the sake of authenticity. However, it should be noted that baking times and temperatures were often omitted from those recipes - possibly because of being cooked on wood stoves???
The contents reflect the large variety of recipes that are included - everything from appetizers to desserts including pies, cakes and cookies.
This cookbook has been well loved and definitely used. Please see photos for condition.
